Fun Fact #7

In the meantime on Zealand

Are you having a good Easter ? Easter break is the thing I ❤ about Denmark. Free Thursday, Friday and Monday are definitely something one sets a price for, as a Dane would say (or in other words - appreciates). Well, this year I decided to freestyle a bit. No traditions, no traveling, no cleaning, not even cooking (except for the obligatory amount to survive).
And here´s what came out of it:

1. Pre - Easter smoothie in Copenhagen. If I were to respect the Danish tradition this picture should probably contain a beer. And not just any beer, but the Easter edition. Like this one for instance. Instead, this year I decided to get into the Easter mood with After Workout Smoothie by Unplugged Juice. This delicious combination of orange juice, pineapple, lemon, mint, ginger (boosted with pea protein powder) was definitely worth trying. You can find it at TORVEHALLERNE KB, Frederiksborggade 21, Copenhagen.

2. Layer cake for breakfast. I saw this one at a local bakery while making some last minute shopping on Saturday. It was lounging on the exhibition, teasing me incredibly. Standing in line I couldn´t resist picturing it on my plate. Nor could I resist taking it home with me. If you ever come across PĂ„skekage yourself, I can assure you - it´s as delicious as it looks.

3. Walk in the harbor. It is actually quite surprising that a town so close to Copenhagen can have such a different atmosphere. I am talking about Roskilde. Roskilde Havn is one of my favorite spots in the area. It is little and cosy yet still full of life. And if you would like to see some Viking ships too, this is the place to go.

Happy (last moments of) Easter !

World filled with eggs

So did you shop for your Easter eggs yet ? I actually got this one from a friend already like a month ago, as a part of my Birthday present. It has been patiently waiting to be open, which is to happen soon. I am looking forward, knowing Anthon Berg´s products it will be a treat.

By the way, if you´d like to know more on the Danish Easter traditions, you can find it here
And in the meantime - fruitful (or should I say ... eggful) purchases !

When the time is short

  Coffee anyone?

Few Mondays ago my friend J. was visiting Copenhagen and we decided to meet for some ´girls´ time` - as she calls it - in the city. Usually when we meet it´s for an entire evening so we have lots of time to catch up. But this time J. had only 2 hours so we had to act quick. Our cravings for coffee brought us to this cozy place - A Hereford Beefstouw. So J. immediately ordered Americano while my attention went somewhere else...

A home-brewed Beer of the Month. It sounded exotic and so it was - fresh, light, kind of spicy. Loved it ! And look at this color !

Good news for beer lovers - you can get your beer almost any size, from 25 cl to 2 liters. The place is modern, light and located next to Tivoli - which makes it pretty great for a quick meeting in the centre. We had fun.
